Dana White says he is 'hopeful and confident' about Francis Ngannou's contract renewal

The UFC president revealed that he should meet with the heavyweight champion in the coming weeks for another round of negotiations

The soap opera involving the future of Francis Ngannou should gain new chapters in the coming weeks. The UFC heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg) champion, who recently unified the division's linear and interim titles by defeating Cyryl Gane No. UFC 270, in January, has already expressed several times his dissatisfaction with his current contract with the organization, which lasts for just one more fight, or until the end of the year.
