Anthony Pettis was scheduled to challenge the belt of José Aldo at UFC Rio 4, but was injured and was replaced by Korean zombie. The American recovered quickly and returns to the Octagon at UFC 164, just 28 days after the event in Rio de Janeiro. The sudden change generated distrust in Aldo's team, who even doubted Pettis' injury, and an immediate disapproving comment from the American fighter.

“It's stupid for him (Dedé Pederneiras) to say something like that, this fight was a dream for me. My injury was real and the UFC took me out of the fight. I hope to win the title fight (against Ben henderson) and face Aldo in the featherweight division. My focus now is Ben henderson. I know it's going to be a great fight and, if I win, I want this fight with Aldo. The public was very sad about my departure, it will be a good fight for everyone”, said Pettis, in an interview with the North American website MMA Fighting.

PUBLICITY:

Pettis faces Henderson on August 31, in Milwaukee, the city where he was born and lives. How Aldo injured his foot last Saturday, in the victory over Korean zombie at UFC Rio 4, and will need some recovery time, the clash between him and Pettis could be scheduled if there is still interest from the UFC.
