Ex-NFL, Greg Hardy suffers third consecutive knockout and gets complicated for good at UFC 272

Fighter returns to poor performance and loses to Sergey Spivak in the fight that opened the preliminary card this Saturday

It got complicated once and for all. Former NFL athlete, Greg hardy he was once again heavily defeated in Ultimate. Featured on the preliminary card of UFC 272, held this Saturday (5), in Las Vegas, the North American was no match for Sergey Spivac and ended up suffering the third consecutive knockout in the organization. The outcome occurred in the first round and calls into question the heavyweight's (up to 120,2kg) stay in the company.

Former promise for the category up to 120,2kg. company, Hardy once again performed below expectations. In the confrontation that marked his last commitment under his contract with Ultimate, the North American runs the risk of not having his contract renewed with the company.

Victorious in the show, Spivak recovers from the defeat suffered by Tom aspinall in September of last season. The fighter achieved his fifth Ultimate victory in eight challenges in the company.

In an interview after the official announcement, the 'giant' avoided challenging his next rival. The fighter stated that he will face any athlete chosen by the company.

The confrontation began with Hardy taking the initiative with a low kick. Spivac responded with a straight right. Still in the first minute, Sergey went for the legs and took the former NFL player to the ground. From below, Greg tried to get up, but his opponent put weight on his body and prevented him from reacting. Hardy managed to 'explode', got to his feet, but ended up being knocked down again by his opponent. Halfway through the assault, Spivak left for the ground and pound and attacked the North American. Observing the athlete's condition, the referee decided to interrupt the confrontation.
