Five reasons to watch UFC 272, with the 'settling of scores' between Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal

The big moment has arrived. This Saturday (5), at the T-Mobile Arena, in Nevada (USA), the long-awaited event takes place UFC 272, which gives the public the first chapter of the rivalry between former friends Colby covington e Jorge masvidal in the octagon, in a fight valid for the welterweight division (up to 77kg.).

Colby Covington is favorite against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272

The card also features five Brazilians, including the dispute between Rafael dos Anjos e Renato Moicano in the co-main event. Edson Barboza, Alex Cowboy e Marina Rodriguez complete the green and yellow squad of the event. O UFC 272, in total, there will be 13 fights that promise to excite MMA fans.

The biggest and main ingredient of the night is finally knowing the result of the long rivalry between Colby covington e Jorge masvidal. Former training partners and friends of 'American Top Team' (ATT), the two athletes provoke each other quite frequently on social media and, now, resolve their issues in the main fight of the night.

In the second main fight of the night, a 'full plate' for the Brazilian MMA community. The unexpected confrontation between Brazilians Rafael dos Anjos e Renato Moicano was scheduled precisely during the week of the event, after the departure of Raphael Fiziev for testing positive for COVID-19.

The recoveries of Alex Cowboy e Edson Barboza can also happen in UFC 272. Cowboy, who arrives with a negative streak of three consecutive defeats, comes under pressure to fight against Kevin holland and needs a convincing triumph to remain in the organization, where he has competed since 2015.

Barboza now has the difficult task of taking away his invincibility Bryce mitchell, which never lost in 14 appearances. The Brazilian was on a streak of two consecutive victories, but ended up being knocked out by Giga Chikadze in his last performance, which took place in August 2021.
