At a difficult time in his career, Alex Cowboy recognizes the importance of a victory at UFC 272

Going through a difficult time in Ultimate, the Brazilian Alex Cowboy was sincere in recognizing the importance of a victory in the UFC 272. On the media day of the show that takes place next Saturday (05), the welterweight athlete (up to 77,1kg) emphasized that he needs to win against Kevin holland and said that the positive result is extremely necessary for his future within the organization.

“For sure, I need this victory, more than ever. We get a little upset when we lose, but it's part of the game. This victory is very important for my career and for my life”, said the Cowboy.

Alex also highlighted that a triumph over Kevin holland is necessary to be able to continue with the organization, but he minimized the pressure a little by calling his work 'fun'.

“Coming out with victory is ideal. I really need this victory, as I said, for my career, for my life, to feel good within the organization again. And the fun comes with me, I like that. For me, my work is fun”, concluded the Brazilian.

Hired by Ultimate in 2015, Alex is currently experiencing his worst moment within the organization with three consecutive defeats. His last victory was over Peter sobotta, in July 2020. Since then, the Rio fighter has succumbed to Shavkat Rakhmonov, Randy Brown e Niko Price. The Brazilian athlete has a record of 22 triumphs, 11 setbacks and one draw in professional MMA.
