Close to debuting in the 2022 season in a confrontation against his former best friend, Colby covington is no joke when it comes to the value of fighting against Jorge masvidal. Star in UFC 272, which takes place this Saturday (5), the North American guarantees that he did not think about money to accept the confrontation, and that the confrontation is strictly for personal reasons. “This is a personal rivalry. It's not about money. I didn't come here to fight for money. I only took part of the payment and forgot about the pay-per-view. (…) I don’t care about the percentage on pay-per-view in this fight”, said Covington, in a conversation with the press at 'half day'.

Disaffected since being dismissed from the team, the former interim welterweight champion (up to 77kg) suggested that his rival is in the fight because he needs the money.
“This guy is staying here as long as he resisted. This is the biggest opportunity for him to pay his pension and receive this small payment,” she concluded.
The last challenger for the welterweight belt, Covington will step into the Octagon with an important commitment.
