In the images (see below), it is possible to see Leah 'doing it' to try to get out of the position imposed by Kavanagh. While her rival exerted strength and alternated the levers on her arm, McCourt contorted herself so that the attack would not be fatal.

After a few seconds, what seemed impossible happened. Leah managed to free herself, driving the audience at the 3Arena crazy.

Even setting an example of overcoming, the Northern Irish athlete was unable to leave the cage with a positive result. After three rounds, the fighter was defeated by unanimous decision.

With the stumble, Leah suffered her first setback with the Bellator gloves. Until the meeting with Kavanagh, the combatant had accumulated five victories in a row and could, in case of victory, gain the chance to challenge the champion, Chris Cyborg.
