The confrontation against McCourt started with a disadvantage for Sinead. Victim of her opponent's falls, the Irishwoman needed to put her experience into practice to overcome the adversity. Still in the first round, Kavanagh managed to reverse the situation and would have submitted her rival, if it weren't for Leah's high resistance in not giving up with a locked Kimura.

Kavanagh's nightmare, however, would begin in the second stage. Better in the match, the Irishwoman ended up suffering a knee injury, which hampered her movement around the cage.

More than once, the former title challenger lost her balance and fell. The fighter then needed to show courage and impose her pace to overcome her opponent.
