“I was saying, 'I don't know if I'm going to love this or if I'm going to hate it.' I loved it, it was fun and really cool. But I want to spend a few weeks with my family, I'm going to disconnect from these things. I'm going to take a step back and look at my life. Like, do I need to do this? Am I being selfish for wanting to get in there and compete? Or is this something that makes sense? I need to talk to Abby, my wife, and go over things. I have two beautiful daughters, so I need to think about these things too”, said Mendes in an interview with the podcast 'The MMA Hour'.
