The Brazilian Danilo Marques and the Canadian Alexis Davis are no longer part of the UFC roster. The two athletes recently had the last fights of their contracts and Ultimate chose not to renew their contracts. The information was initially released by the North American website “MMAFighting.com” last Wednesday (23).

Danilo Marques leaves the UFC after a stint of just under two years. The São Paulo native arrived at the organization in 2020 and won his first two challenges, beating Khadiz Ibragimov by unanimous decision and Mike Rodriguez by submission in the second round. In his last two appearances, however, Danilo ended up being knocked out by Kennedy Nzechukwu and, more recently, in February, Jailton Malhadinho.

At 36, Danilo Marques has a professional record of 11 wins and four losses.

Alexis Davis, in turn, has much more experience in the Octagon. The Canadian arrived at the organization in 2013 and won her first three fights in Ultimate, earning the right to face Ronda Rousey for the bantamweight title (up to 61,2 kg). The dream, however, lasted just 16 seconds and ended with a knockout for the then champion to defend the title. Since then, “Ally-Gator” has alternated between good and bad results, but won the last fight of his contract, against Julija Stoliarenko, in February. Despite this, the UFC chose not to renew the contract with the veteran.

At 37 years old, Davis has built a record of 21 wins and 11 losses in professional MMA. In the UFC there were eight triumphs and six setbacks.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
