In the records, it was possible to see the fighter being helped by his colleagues to get up from the floor and enter a portable sauna. The video showed the moment the athlete vomited a yellow liquid onto a towel.

Afterwards, Piccolotti crawled out of the sauna, took off his coat and continued to vomit. In the post's caption, the 33-year-old athlete revealed that he had vomited more than 20 times during the night.

In an interview with the North American website “MMA Junkie”, Mike Mazzulli, director of the Mohegan Tribe Department of Athletic Regulation revealed that Adam Piccolotti received a suspension of four to six months and needs the release of a nephrologist, a doctor specializing in kidney health. , to fight again.

“I reviewed the video and determined that the process was unnecessarily dangerous. We are always concerned about the safety of the fighters and the weight cut. I hope it's a learning experience for Piccolotti. Fortunately he didn’t die,” said the director.

According to information from journalist Marc Raimondi, from North American ESPN, Piccolotti was fined US$2.500 (approximately R$12.600) and will also need to undergo an echocardiogram and new physical tests before returning to fight. Mauricio Calvo, Raul Castillo and Matthew Aragoni, responsible for being in the fighter's corner, received the same suspension. Despite the punishments, the victory against Georgi Karakhanyan will be kept on the fighter's record.
