Julianna Pena shocked the world last December, by defeating Amanda nunes, who, for many, is the greatest fighter in the history of women's MMA. However, her jiu-jitsu coach Luiz Claúdio Preto asked for humility and 'feet on the ground', so that the new bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) could emerge victorious again in the long-awaited rematch.

“There’s a night that’s your night and everything works out. Sometimes you do everything right and nothing goes right. It was a set of factors. Nothing is easy, Julianna has been training for this fight for many years. It was an achievement that she really wanted. It's a series of factors, Julianna trained too much and one good thing about her is that we have to stay on top of her to stop training, otherwise she'll get into trouble.overtraining' and gets hurt. I even said: 'For the love of God, don't ask for a rematch in a week, not a month'. We won, but we have a lot to fix, there is room to improve even more because Amanda will be better than she was. One of the most important things is to have our feet on the ground, humility and see that we have won, but that this is in the past. There were errors, we will fix them. If you see the fight, Amanda did a lot of good work. They were coming together at the same time”, said Luiz Claúdio.

The coach of the new leader of the division praised the achievement of the 'Venezuelan Shrew' and did not hide his excitement for the second duel.

“I think it will move the fight world. I don't even have words. It's going to be a very big thing. If we win, it consolidates that Julianna is the champion. If she loses the title to Amanda, it doesn't take anything away from her merit. But obviously she would have a double taste of victory (winning the rematch). I think it would consolidate for this mass of fans that Julianna is the next champion. We will see. I think it will be one of the biggest fights we’ve ever had”, concluded the coach.
