With the defeat, Nikolas Motta reached the mark of four stumbles in his career. The setback also interrupted a streak of three consecutive victories in the Minas Gerais team's record.
At 38 years old, the record holder for UFC fights, with 39 appearances, was once again doing well in the octagon. The collision with Motta marked the veteran's second consecutive victory on the fast track.
After the show, Jim made a special request to the UFC management. For his 40th performance, the North American asked for the match to take place in a packed arena, to feel the energy of the crowd.
The fight
The fight started with Miller trying to close the distance with jabs. Motta started to respond in kind. After just over a minute, Nikolas knocked the veteran off balance with a straight shot, which exploded in the American's face. Halfway through the fight, it was Miller's turn to rock the Brazilian with a low kick. Near the final minute, Nikolas surprised his opponent with a combination of punches. The veteran, however, absorbed the attacks well and continued walking forward. The North American bet on low kicks and, during the fight, it was possible to notice the redness on the miner's leg. The assault ended with the athletes studying each other in the center of the Octagon.
In the second round, the Brazilian took the initiative, launching direct shots from long distance. Miller responded with low kicks, which bothered the Tupiniquim. Almost halfway through the stage, Jim surprised the Brazilian with a straight shot, which made the Minas Gerais native collapse. Taking advantage of the good moment, the North American was left to continue striking until the referee interrupted.

Finished in the event, Pickett had his two-fight winning streak interrupted. The athlete has not lost a match since 2021, when he was defeated by Jordan wright.

Even without putting on a show, parker porter managed to confirm his good moment in the UFC heavyweight division (up to 120,2kg). Opponent of Alan Baudot on the main card, the North American performed discreetly, but did enough to overcome his opponent. After 15 minutes of fighting, the 'giant' was declared the winner in a unanimous decision by the judges.
With the triumph, Porter reached the third positive result in a row. The North American's last stumble happened in August 2020, when he was knocked out by Chris Daukas.
Beaten on points, Baudot ended up having trouble in the company. The athlete remains without winning in the organization, after three commitments. The defeat could result in Alan being placed on the company's dreaded layoff list.
