Cejudo says he would bet on Chimaev in a possible confrontation against the 'unbeatable' Adesanya

Former double UFC champion believes that Swede could surpass the talent of the middleweight belt holder

Former double Ultimate champion, Henry Cejudo recognizes the talent of Israel adesanya in middleweight (up to 83,9kg.), but he sees that there is an athlete who could overcome the Nigerian champion in an eventual confrontation. After following 'Izzy''s victory over Robert whittaker No. UFC 271, the 'Triple C' was direct in pointing out certain favoritism of Khamzat Shimaev, if the athletes shared the octagon.

“I’m not even betting, but if I were a bettor, Chimaev is the man to stop Adesanya,” Cejudo wrote on his Twitter account. Twitter.

The former UFC flyweight (up to 56,7kg) and bantamweight (up to 61,2kg) champion, however, understands that Khamzat's role would not be easy. Thus, the fighter guarantees that he would have no problem recognizing if the Nigerian won the eventual clash.

“If Adesanya hits (Chimaev), I would shut up and apologize. If this fight happens, I'm betting on Khamzat. He is a different 'animal'”, he concluded.

Adesanya's performance, however, was not impressive. Attentive to the Nigerian's performance, Chimaev drew attention by criticizing the champion, stating, on social media, that he would defeat him easily.
