ONE Championship reschedules bantamweight title fight between Bibiano Fernandes and John Lineker for March

Valid for the bantamweight title, the clash between Brazilians gets a new date and takes place on March 11

After needing to be postponed, the fight between Bibiano Fernandes and John Lineker already has a new date coming up. Initially, the show was scheduled for February 11th, but the former UFC fighter tested positive for COVID-19 and had to leave the card. Now, ONE Championship has rescheduled the fight for the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2kg) in a month, for March 11th, in Singapore. The information was released by 'MMA fighting'.

At 41 years old, Bibiano returns to acting after more than two years, when he beat Kevin Belingnon with a rear naked choke in the second round to defend his division belt. Manauara, however, was in long negotiations with the Asian organization and was inactive during the period.

Lineker, in turn, had a meteoric rise in ONE and, since arriving, he had three consecutive victories – the last two being knockouts. Known as 'Mãos de Pedra', the athlete was once one of the highlights of Ultimate.

In his career, Fernandes had 28 fights – with 24 wins and four losses. John has a record of 34 positive results and nine negative results in his career in mixed martial arts.
