One of the most celebrated names among the company's fans, Nate has not performed since the defeat to Leon edwards, in June 2021. In the same confrontation, the athlete ended a career hiatus that lasted almost two years.

If the fight against Poirier is, in fact, Diaz's farewell, the fighter will end his career in MMA with 34 contests. Today, the North American has 20 triumphs and 13 setbacks in the sport.
