Dana White gives Adesanya advice after UFC 271 win

UFC president praises the Nigerian's performance in victory over Robert Whittaker in the main fight of the night

Israel adesanya overcame Robert whittaker and added the fourth defense of the middleweight title (up to 83,9kg.) to build his legacy in the UFC 271, event held last Saturday (12). With a solid performance, the Nigerian managed to win the unanimous decision and, as a bonus, he also won praise from the president of Ultimate, Dana White.

In a post-event press conference, which was held in Houston, United States, Dana valued that Adesanya continues to win difficult matches in his career. He even advises that the champion does not lose his focus and works hard to remain 'sovereign' in the organization.

“He is the champion. He continues to win and I only see one way, which is to continue working hard to win and do more and more to continue envisioning an even greater path in the sport”, highlighted Dana.

In a five-round confrontation, Adesanya marked Whittaker with low kicks and had good moments in the fight. With the victory, the Nigerian came second with the most title defenses in the organization's history (4) and is now only behind Anderson Silva (10)

Israel also maintained its unbeaten record in the middleweight division (up to 83,9kg.). So far, there have been 22 triumphs and no setbacks. In his career, the champion was defeated only by Jan Blachowicz, in an attempt to win the light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg.).
