Curtis Blaydes faces Chris Daukaus in UFC main event in March

Athletes compete on March 26th, in a clash valid for the heavyweight division (up to 120,2kg.)

On March 26, Curtis blaydes will have a new test to prove himself as one of the main names for a possible title fight in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2kg) of Ultimate. The North American will share the octagon with Chris Daukas in the main fight of UFC Colombus. The information was released by journalist Ariel Helwani and confirmed by 'MMA fighting'.

The fight between Blaydes and Daukaus is scheduled after the card lost the fight between light heavyweights (up to 93kg.) Jan Blachowic and Aleksandar rakic, due to an injury to the Pole, which forced him to leave the event.

In professional MMA since May 2014, Blaydes has a record of 14 wins, three losses and one 'no contest' in his career in the sport. In his last appearance, the North American defeated Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the unanimous decision of the judges, in September 2021.

Daukaus, in turn, tries to recover from a knockout suffered against Derrick Lewis, in the first round, in December 2021. Hired in 2020, the North American had scored knockouts over parker porter, Rodrigo Zé Colmeia, Aleksei Oleinik and Shamil Abdurakhimov. The fighter has an MMA record of 12 wins and four losses.
