After two consecutive defeats, Alan Belcher plans to move up to light heavyweight

The North American businessman revealed that he is interested in holding a fight in December

Living one of the most delicate moments of his career, Alan belcher You are prepared to make an important decision: change category. According to the UFC Tonight program, on American cable TV, Belcher, who has regularly performed as a middleweight since his debut in Ultimate, should move up to the light heavyweight division.

According to information released by the program, Belcher's manager assured that the athlete is convinced about the change and that he wants to return to the Octagon, in the new category, in December. In Ultimate, “The Talent”, as he is known, had one fight with a combined weight of 88,5 kg and one as a light heavyweight, against Sean Salmon in 2007. In both cases, the North American emerged victorious.

Alan belcher has a record of 18 wins and eight losses. The 29-year-old athlete is coming off two consecutive defeats, against Yushin Okami e Michael Bisping. Belcher's last victory was achieved at UFC on FOX 3, in May last year, when he beat Brazilian Rousimar “Toquinho” Palhares.
