In a face-off, Ronda Rousey ‘shows the finger’ to Miesha Tate

Does Ronda Rousey will be able to wait until December 28th to step into the Octagon and face Miesha Tate? Once again, now during the UFC World Tour, this Tuesday (30), the atmosphere became heated between the two rivals and TUF 18 coaches. During a face-off at the end of the event, held in Los Angeles (USA), Ronda he even showed the middle finger to his opponent.

Before that, the two had already exchanged barbs during a press conference. “We've been together for a long time because of TUF 18, but she doesn't look me in the eye when she talks to me. I like to quote a phrase from Mike Tyson which says you see how scared your opponent is when he doesn’t look you in the eye,” said Ronda. “That’s not how it happens behind the scenes,” replied Tate, who then heard an excited Jon Jones ask for front row seats for their meeting.

For the women's bantamweight champion, the reason for such a fierce rivalry is obvious. “How could it not be a rivalry? I have everything she wants most in life,” she shot back. Already Miesha Tate think a little differently. “Yes, she has a lot of things I want, but that doesn’t build a rivalry. The personal and disrespectful way she conducts things is what makes her do this. I've fought a lot of people, but I've never had any kind of personal problem with anyone. But she knows how to irritate me, and vice versa. That’s what causes this rivalry”, revealed the challenger.

Miesha Tate e Ronda Rousey face each other in the co-main fight of UFC 168, on December 28, in Las Vegas (USA). The main fight of the night is the rematch between Anderson Silva e Chris Weidman, for the middleweight title. The confrontation between Tate and Rousey, however, also marks a reunion. Still for the now-defunct Strikeforce, the two met in March last year. As in all of her fights to date, Ronda submitted her opponent with an armbar in the first round.
