Favorite of the Brazilian fans and current UFC light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg), Glover Teixeira received good news this Tuesday (8). In the weekly update of the organization's rankings, the Minas Gerais native was 'awarded' with a prominent place in the top 10 weight-for-weight rankings for men. In addition to Tupiniquim, Sean Strickland won sixth place in the middleweight group (up to 83,9kg.).

Even without being played, Teixeira now shares 10th place in the weight-for-pound category with Stipe Miocic, who has not performed for almost a year. With prestige in the company, Glover entered the Octagon for the last time in October 2021, when he overcame Jan Blachowicz and took over the belt in the under-93kg category.
At the top of the light heavyweight division, the Minas Gerais native already has a date to return to action. In its first title defense, Tupiniquim will face Jiri Prochazka, in a confrontation that takes place on March 7th.
The other change met the Sean Strickland, protagonist of UFC Las Vegas 47, held last weekend. After passing through Jack hermansson, the North American took his rival's position and is now in sixth place to fight.
