With Francis Ngannou out of action for an indefinite period of time, the creation of a new interim UFC heavyweight belt (up to 120,2kg) gained a new supporter. According to Michael Bisping, commentator in the organization, the most logical solution for the company would be to hold a confrontation between Jon Jones e Stipe Miocic, former linear champion of the group. For Michael, Stipe's legacy isn't the only factor that could increase engagement for the showdown. The former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg) also analyzed the story of Jon who, for some, is the best MMA fighter of all time.

An MMA veteran, Miocic has not performed since the tough defeat he suffered against Ngannou, in March 2021, when he ended up losing his position as champion. Jon Jones, in turn, has not acted for two years. In his last clash, 'Bones' defended his old title against Dominick reyes. Months later, the North American gave up the throne and began to dedicate himself to the process of gaining muscle mass for his move to heavyweight.
