Considered one of the great promises of Ultimate today, Paddy Pimblett has already started to provoke his next opponent. The lightweight prospect (up to 70,3kg) showed confidence for the duel against kazula vargas and guaranteed that he will win the match in the first round. The statement was made in an interview with the podcast 'UFC Unfiltered'

“It definitely won’t get past the first round. I can't see him lasting more than five minutes with me to be honest. Even though he has a good heart, he has a good chin, he is resilient, but I had a remarkable victory in my last fight. I’m going to get a submission or a technical knockout with ground and pound in the first round,” said Pimblett.
Former featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg) of the Cage Warriors event, Paddy debuted in Ultimate last September with a knockout over the Brazilian Luigi Vendramini, in the first round. His next confrontation will be against the Mexican kazula vargas, in March. The English prospect has a record of 17 triumphs and three setbacks in professional MMA.
