Popó admits to having 'held his hand', but praises Whindersson Nunes: 'out of this world'

The former world champion admitted that he had to hold back to avoid knocking out the YouTuber, but praised his opponent's resistance

Last Sunday (30), Acelino Popó Freitas returned to the ring to face the YouTuber Whindersson Nunes in the main fight of Fight Music Show. As predicted by the event regulations, the duel ended in a draw after eight rounds without a knockout, despite the clear dominance of the former world champion. According to Popó, however, the outcome was almost different.

According to Popó, the reason for holding the hand was simple: to give the audience the show they wanted to see. On the one hand, the Bahian wanted to show everyone that Whindersson Nunes He is truly a boxer, but on the other hand, he wanted to prove that he is still in top physical shape, contrary to what many people thought.

Despite admitting that he had to hold his hand to avoid being knocked out, Popó praised Whindersson. According to the former champion, the YouTuber has more resistance than many professional fighters in the noble art.
