After winning the Strikeforce light heavyweight belt, by defeating Bobby Southworth, by technical knockout, Renato “Babalu” Sobral has another big challenge in his career. The Brazilian will face Cameroonian Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, in the second edition of Affliction, which takes place on January 24th, in Las Vegas, in the United States.
Sokoudjou, who emerged with great prominence in MMA, after quick knockouts in Pride over Rogério Minotouro e Ricardo arona, comes from a defeat to Brazilian Luiz Arthur “Banha”, by technical knockout, UFC-90, in October, which led to his departure from Ultimate. Babalu is on a good streak of four consecutive victories, the last being in November, at Strikeforce. Check out the Affliction card so far
