After a very successful and profitable year in the boxing ring, Jake Paul has increasingly shown interest in venturing into MMA in the future. But, unless someone makes a very lucrative proposal, this will only happen when the YouTuber feels ready.

During a recent appearance on “The MMA Hour”, Jake Paul stated that he would need around two years to prepare for the possible migration of the noble art to MMA.

“There is an interest in fighting MMA, not in the near future, but in the medium term. I would need to train my kicks more and jiu-jitsu a little more for about two years, maybe two and a half years before doing that. Unless the money is really good, but no one has offered anything interesting enough,” said Paul.

Last week, Khabib Nurmagomedov, former UFC champion and responsible for Eagle FC, stated that he contacted the Jake Paul so that the YouTuber could fight in his organization. According to Paul, however, the information is unfounded.

PUBLICITY:

"Khabib Nurmagomedov He said he made me an offer, but it's not true. They never offered me anything. Eagle FC didn't even hold an event. I don't want to belittle what they're doing, but I would need more than what I make in boxing to risk going to MMA now. They would have to offer me US$25 million (approximately R$132 million), US$35 million (approximately R$185 million) to start conversations”, said the YouTuber.

If the transition to MMA really happens one day, Jake Paul stated that he is interested in facing Khabib Nurmagomedov.

PUBLICITY:

“I would face Khabib in MMA if they want to make that offer. That would excite me, especially if I had more time to train. It would be a huge fight and would sell millions of pay-per-views. All I would have to do is work on my wrestling skills, because I can beat him on the feet,” assured Paul.
