One of the stars of the 'Fight Music Show' event card, Esquiva Falcão from Espírito Santo is experiencing his best moment as a professional boxer. 'Hidden' under the spotlight of the fight between Whindersson Nunes ee Acelino Popó, number one in the International Boxing Federation (FIB) middleweight rankings, perhaps does not receive due credit from fans and the press. To 'heat up' the fight against Yuri Fernandes, the SUPER FIGHTS prepared a special about the London 2012 Olympic medalist.

Born on December 12, 1989, in Vitória, Espírito Santo, Florentine Falcon Dodge he practically grew up with boxing in his house. His father, Adegard Câmara Florentino, known as Taurus Moreno, was a former boxer who became famous in the 1960s for drawing a fight against Waldemar Santana, a pupil of Hélio Gracie. As a child, Esquiva trained in a makeshift gym in his backyard, where he trained punches on a banana tree.

Esquiva began his amateur boxing career in 2008, at the age of 19. The Brazilian had his first great result with the bronze medal at the 201st South American Games, which took place in Medellin (COL). The following year, he was also placed third in the World Amateur Championship. In 2012, the Tupiniquim athlete achieved what, until then, was the greatest achievement of an Olympic boxer from Brazil.

At the London Olympics, Esquiva defeated three opponents in the middleweight tournament (under 76kg) and managed to reach the big decision. However, against the Japanese Ryota Murata, the Brazilian was defeated in a controversial fight, where he was punished with two points in the last round. The setback, by just one point, left the result of the fight with an even more bitter taste.

The silver medal was a great outcome for the Brazilian boxer, which guaranteed him the 'prize' of Brazilian flag bearer at the closing ceremony. Esquiva's result was only surpassed at the Rio Olympics, in 2016, with Robson Conceicão's gold medal. Falcão ended his time in amateur boxing with 24 triumphs and 11 setbacks.

In 2013, Falcão signed a contract with the company 'Top Rank' and decided to switch to professional boxing. Since then, the Brazilian has been crushing his opponents mercilessly. So far, the Olympic medalist has won all of his 29 fights, 20 of which by knockout. Currently, Esquiva is number 1 in the International Boxing Federation (FIB) middleweight rankings and will be the next challenger for the category belt.

Esquiva Falcão is still awaiting the definition of who his opponent will be for the IBF world title. Kazakh Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin, current holder of the belt, will face Japanese Ryota Murata, with no date set yet. The winner of the duel will necessarily have to face the Brazilian fighter in sequence.

While awaiting his future opponent, Esquiva will face off against ex-BBB Yuri Fernandes on the card of the highly anticipated event.Fight Music Show'. The confrontation will not be worth ranking points and will not have a winner. It will just be an exhibition for boxing fans.
