Candidate for a future UFC welterweight title fight, Khamzat Shimaev didn't like knowing that Kamaru Usman seeks a second throne in the organization. In an attempt to thwart the Nigerian's plans, which could momentarily slow down the 77kg division, the Swede sent a direct message to the star, in a 'threatening' tone.

“So, are you trying to change divisions before I get to you? Don't go anywhere. I’m coming,” wrote Chimaev, in his account on Twitter.

The message didn't stop there. Confident, as always, the Swede made the situation come to a head Gilbert Durinho, Khamzat's possible opponent in the sequel.

“I'll beat you and Burns (Durinho) in two minutes. Believe me. I’m the king of this division,” he signed off.

Undefeated throughout his career in MMA, Chimaev put on a show every time he stepped into the Octagon. Last season, the Swede had a confrontation, when he ran over li jingliang in the first round, without even being touched. With the triumph, the athlete reached the top 15 in the group.

If on the one hand Khamzat's moment is exceptional, the same can be said of Usman. Welterweight champion since 2019, the Nigerian continues to collect victims and evolve with each confrontation. The combatant is close to surpassing the historic mark of Anderson Silva, 16 consecutive victories with UFC gloves.
