Former UFC athlete Maiquel Falcão is stabbed to death in Rio Grande do Sul

Former UFC representative, Maiquel Falcao He was stabbed to death in the early hours of last Sunday (23), in Pelotas (RS). An MMA professional, the 40-year-old fighter was found by the Military Brigade still alive in front of a beverage distributor. According to 'Diário Popular', the athlete was taken to the Emergency Room, but did not survive his injuries.

According to newspaper information, the crime occurred around 3am. Having fallen, Maiquel was found with two puncture wounds in the abdomen. There were no witnesses to the incident at the scene.

The case will now be handled by the Personal Protection Homicide Police.

A professional in MMA since 2004, Falcão has competed in 60 fights in the sport. The athlete joined the UFC squad in 2010 and won in his only commitment for the company.

In 2011, however, the fighter was released from the organization after being accused of attacking his partner. The incident would have happened in 2002.
