Enshrined in UFC 270 after overcoming Brandon Moreno in the flyweight belt dispute (up to 56,7kg.), Deiveson Figueiredo surprised by suggesting Kai Kara France as a possible opponent for a title defense. Aware of the category champion's proposal, the New Zealander wasted no time and tried to respond to the challenge. On social media, number six in the ranking directed a publication to the person from Pará.

“The champion has spoken. Here we go. Anytime, anywhere. I'm ready, Deiveson Figueiredo”, wrote the New Zealander.

With two consecutive victories in his recent history in Ultimate, France put on a show the last time he stepped into the Octagon. In December 2021, at UFC 269, the New Zealander was responsible for receiving cody garbrandt in flyweight, and, with an aggressive performance, defeated the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) with a devastating knockout in the first round.

At the top of the under-56,7kg category, Deiveson experienced another great moment in the organization last weekend. On that occasion, the Brazilian starred in a historical trilogy against Brandon Moreno and regained the division belt, which had been taken by the Mexican himself in June of last season.

Even with Figueiredo's suggestion, it is still unknown what the Brazilian's next step in the UFC will be. In a press conference after the UFC 270, the 'God of War' did not rule out a fourth fight against the Mexican.
