The UFC's return to Belo Horizonte has another Brazilian on its fight program. UFC Combate 3, a show that will take place on September 4th, at Ginásio do Mineirinho, will have João Zeferino on the card. He measures strength against Kenny Robertson.
The athlete from Santa Catarina, who made his debut in the Octagon when he was quickly called up for UFC Combate 2, has an MMA record of 13 wins and five losses. A black belt in jiu-jitsu, Zeferino had won six consecutive victories before debuting in Ultimate and being surpassed by his compatriot Rafael Sapo.
In turn, Robertson has a professional record of 12 wins and three losses. Like Zeferino, the American is also looking to rehabilitate himself at the event, as he comes off a setback against Sean Pierson at UFC 161 in June.
The main attraction of UFC Combate 3 will be the duel between light heavyweights Glover Teixeira, number three in the division rankings, and Ryan bader, winner of TUF 9 and currently 10th in the rankings.
