Much speculated in recent months, the confrontation between Francis Nganno and Jon Jones may never end up getting off the ground. “I’m tired of this fight. I was waiting for this fight for so long. After Stipe (Miocic), it was supposed to be Jon Jones and that never happened. I do not know why. So I moved on,” Ngannou said.

Riding on five consecutive victories, Francis won the heavyweight belt in March 2021, by knocking out Stipe Miocic No. UFC 260. The 'Predator's' last defeat was in July 2018 to Derrick Lewis. Since then, Ngannou has hit straight Curtis blaydes, Cain Velazquez, Junior Gypsy and Jairzinho Rosenstruik, until his coronation against Miocic. The Cameroonian has a professional MMA record of 16 triumphs and three setbacks.
