Former challenger for the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg.) and current commentator, Chael Sonnen polemicized when defining the fight between Jorge masvidal e Colby covington No. UFC 272 as a ‘career-ending fight’ and now it has been answered. In an interview with ‘The MMA Hour’, ‘Jesus das Ruas’ states that he is willing to prove that he still has fuel to burn in his career.

“I like Chael (Sonnen), but I was a little bothered by the comment. It's like, every time I climb a higher mountain, he says he doesn't believe me. And I will prove, once again, that he is wrong,” said Masvidal.
