That the strength of Francis Ngannou impressive, few should question it. However, for Eric Nicksick, one of the trainers of the UFC heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg), it doesn't hurt to warn. Days before the pupil's confrontation against Cyryl Gane for the unification of the title, the coach described what it's like to be a 'victim' in the preparation of the 'giant'.

“I've been hit in the back with a baseball bat before. That didn't bother me that much. I was kicked by Francis to the point where I couldn't walk for two weeks. It's a different kind of strength. It's not from God”, said Nicksick, in an interview with 'The MMA Hour'.

Professional in MMA since 2013, Ngannou has, with each appearance, gained a reputation as a knockout artist. Collector of 'victims', the French-Cameroonian has 16 knockouts in 12 victories.

Lineal heavyweight champion since March 2021, Francis, despite his ferocity, may not have an easy time at the weekend. On the other hand, the 'giant' will have an undefeated opponent with whom he has already shared training sessions.

Owner of the interim Ultimate belt, Gane doesn't know what it's like to lose in 10 appearances in the organization. The Frenchman has stood out for his refined technique and for being a strategist in the Octagon.
