Ultimate inaugurates new protocol and waives quarantine and tests for fighters vaccinated against Covid-19

However, the organization maintained the requirement for quarantine and PCR tests for individuals who are not fully vaccinated.

On the eve of UFC 270, which takes place in Anaheim, California (USA), Ultimate has updated its health and safety protocols related to Covid-19. The organization sent a statement to fighters and staff stating that individuals who have a complete vaccination schedule will not need to undergo testing or quarantine during the week of the event, with the exception of a PCR or antigen test carried out before travel. The information was released by 'MMA Junkie'.

Those who have not been vaccinated or have an incomplete vaccination schedule (only one dose), tests will be mandatory. The individual will undergo two exams: one upon arrival at the hotel and another on Thursday of the week of the fight. Quarantine will be necessary until the first result is negative. Regardless of the vaccination schedule, the use of masks remains essential for everyone.
