With the dream of competing for a third belt in different categories, Henry Cejudo certainly does not have the support of Michael Bisping for a straight fight for the featherweight title. Former UFC champion and now a commentator in the organization, the Englishman criticized the insistence of the 'Triple C' and mocked any comparison of the North American with Georges St-Pierre.

“If I were blonde, had blue eyes and was Canadian with an accent, maybe you would give me the opportunity? I defended my two belts (flyweight and bantamweight), unlike GSP (St-Pierre). I retired at my peak, retired on Monday and gave the rest of the division a chance. You’re afraid I’ll win, Dana White,” Cejudo wrote on social media.

Henry's post directed at the UFC president bothered Bisping. Victim of Georges in 2017, when he was surpassed by the Canadian just when the legend returned from retirement in a direct confrontation for the middleweight title, the Englishman did not spare 'Triple C'.

“I understand what he (Cejudo) means. 'Georges St-Pierre returned after four years and went straight to the elite of the top division'. So, does Cejudo have the right to a title fight? He had the opportunity to 'jump the queue' in the top division. (…) The reality is that he is not at the same level as Georges St-Pierre was”, said Bisping, in his podcast.

Former flyweight and bantamweight champion, Cejudo announced his retirement shortly after his victory over Dominick Cruz, in May 2020. Shortly afterwards, the athlete began to insist on a clash against Alexander Volkanovsky for the featherweight title.
