Yaroslav Amosov defends Bellator welterweight belt against Michael Page in May

This Monday (17), Bellator confirmed the first title defense of welterweight champion (under 77 kg) Yaroslav Amosov. The Ukrainian defends his title against the popular Michael Page in the main fight of Bellator London, on May 13, at the SSE Arena, in the English capital.

Undefeated in professional MMA, Yarloslav Amosov seeks to defend his welterweight belt for the first time. The 28-year-old Ukrainian won the title at Bellator 260, in June 2021, when he defeated the Brazilian Douglas lima in the unanimous decision of the judges. Amosov has an undefeated record of 26 victories, the last seven in the Bellator circular cage.

One of Bellator's biggest stars, Michael Page finally fights for the belt after eight years of organization. The Brit, who fights at home, arrives for the contest on the back of six consecutive victories, the last of which was also over Douglas lima, in a rematch held at Bellator 267, in October. Treated as a valuable product by Scott Coker, the “MVP” has 16 appearances in the circular cage, with 15 wins and just one loss.

Scheduled for May 13th, Bellator London still has no other fights confirmed on the card.
