"I am back. I was born to fight. The training routine, preparation, dedication, desire to surpass myself in everything I do is in my blood, in my DNA. I'm dedicating myself to the 'noble art', boxing. I want to challenge myself again, but on which stage will my new challenge be? Tatami? Cage? Or will I debut in the ring?”, he wrote.

Even though he is certain of the next step he will take in his career, Jacaré has not yet revealed when and who his opponent will be for his debut in the ring. The Brazilian also did not say which company the fight would be promoted by.

Legend of jiu-jitsu, Ronaldo gained worldwide fame for his performances in the 'gentle art' and during his professional MMA days. The fighter reached the top of mixed martial arts when he worked for Strikeforce and, during most of his career in the UFC, he was in the middleweight elite (up to 83,9kg).

The Brazilian left Ultimate after a run of four defeats in the last five appearances. His last commitment to the UFC took place in May, when the athlete ended up surpassing his compatriot André Sergipano.
