The rivalry between Colby covington e Jorge masvidal can be resolved in UFC 272 on March 5th, when the two athletes face each other in the main fight of the night. Former training partners at 'American Top Team', they constantly provoke each other via the press and the fight is surrounded by expectation from a large part of the MMA community. However, now, there are those who doubt that the feud is real.

On his official channel on 'YouTube', the former fighter and current commentator Michael Bisping commented on the frequent provocations between Covington and Masvidal. According to him, the two fighters have known each other for a long time and, therefore, could end up 'crossing the line' in order to promote the fight.

“These things like going after (Jorge) Masvidal’s ex-wife, calling him a bad father and things like that, I don’t think it makes a difference. Whenever two guys know each other and have a past, they know a lot of personal things. So, because of the rivalry, there might be more appeal to the words,” Bisping said.

It does not stop there. The commentator also mentions that Colby is transforming his real personality into the intensity of provocations. English still says that the 'Chaos' assumed the role of 'villain' in the fighting.

“Everyone says, 'Colby is a really good guy.' He's just selling the fights and taking on a personality. Maybe it's true and he's taking on a personality now. If he is acting, then give him an Oscar, because he is intense every time,” he concluded.

Current number one in the ranking of the group led by Kamaru Usman, Covington is looking to get back on the winning track. Last challenger for the division title, the 'Chaos' had already expressed his interest in facing Jorge after losing to the champion in the UFC 268. An audience phenomenon in his fights, Masvidal is also trying to recover from the blow he suffered against Kamaru. Today, 'Jesus das Ruas' is sixth in the category.
