After getting injured and being cut from the duel against Ronaldo Jacare at UFC no Combate 2, in May, Cypriot Costa Philippou has another Brazilian in mind for his next fight. Philippou revealed to the website mma mania, which I would like to face Vitor belfort – second place in the Ultimate middleweight rankings.

“(A fight against) Belfort sounds good to me,” said the fighter. “NOT in Brazil!”, stressed Philippou, echoing the controversy regarding the fact that Vitor had his last three fights as a middleweight on Brazilian soil. In the meantime, the “Phenomenon” competed for the light heavyweight belt against Jon Jones in Toronto, Canada.
