Former rival of Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier does not believe that his opponent will be successful in his move to the heavyweight division (up to 120,2kg). In an interview with 'ESPN', 'DC' said that the former light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) will have a lot of difficulty in his new category and said that he will not be able to win his second belt of his career.

"I believe that Jon Jones will fight at heavyweight and fight for the belt, but will lose to Cyryl Gane ou Francis Ngannou. I just think the time away, with the weight difference and those guys being who they are, that's going to be a big issue. It's not that Jones has gotten worse; it’s just that these guys are a different level of heavyweight,” Cormier said.

At 'war' with the UFC since he decided to abandon the light heavyweight title, Jones continues to prepare to make his debut in the new weight class. His last confrontation wearing Ultimate gloves was in February 2020, when he defeated Dominick reyes in the judges' split decision. The North American has a record of 26 wins and just one setback in professional MMA.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
