Back after a year after the tough defeat suffered by Max Holloway in 2021, Calvin kattar wants to show results in the main fight of the UFC Las Vegas 46. Featherweight coach (up to 65,7kg), Tyson Chartier guarantees he has the perfect recipe for his pupil to emerge victorious in the confrontation against the dangerous fighter Giga Chikadze. For the coach, the student must use wrestling and stop the rival's excellent striking.

“Calvin has already wrestled, so he is better in the area. We have a great plan to put into practice. If you look at what Edson (Barboza) did (in the defeat to Chikadze), he tried to kickbox against a giant in the sport. It's not the best way out. Other athletes who mixed a little were successful”, said Chartier, in an interview with 'BJPenn.com'.

Even though he understands that Kattar can get the better of the grappling fight, the coach guarantees that his pupil is capable of acting on equal terms against Giga. Still, Tyson made a point of stating that the team should not take any risks when it comes to mixed martial arts.

“Do I think Calvin could trade with him (Chikadze) for 25 minutes and have a chance of winning? For sure. At the end of the day, this isn't a GLORY fight. It's an MMA duel. Let's see how the fight unfolds and whether we will have the option to take it to the ground. Maybe we don’t need to,” he closed.
