Confrontation scheduled against his compatriot Alex Poatán, Bruno Blindado He didn't make much of a mystery about his strategy. In an interview with 'Combate', the native of Paraíba said that he will 'pull punches' with his opponent and ignored critics of his fighting style.

“For my part, I'm going to come out punching, as I always do in every fight. In every fight I hear: 'Ah, Armored is now going to have to take him to the ground because the guy is like this or that... In Russia it was the same thing: 'You can't trade with (Alexander) Shlemenko, because he's a specialist'. I do not care. Criticized sometimes for his 'little' defensive style of fighting, the Brazilian athlete ignored the complaints and emphasized that he will not change the way he acts.
'I'm from the old generation fighting style, like Wanderlei (Silva), (Maurício) Shogun, (Rodrigo) Minotauro... those guys. Whoever likes me, likes me. If you don't like it, that's fine, that's their opinion. That's how I am, I like to bring emotion to the public, to those who like beatings, and that's how I'm going to do it, as I always do”, said the Brazilian.
Hired by the UFC in 2021, Bruno had a meteoric rise in the organization with three victories in a row, all by knockout. The duel against Alex Poatán is scheduled for March 12th, in Las Vegas (USA). Former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg) of the 'M-1 Challenge' event, the Brazilian athlete has a record of 22 triumphs and six setbacks in professional MMA.
