Bruno Blindado reveals 'simple' strategy for the duel against Alex Poatan: 'I'm going to come out punching'

Promise of the middleweight division, the fighter from Paraíba responded to criticism of his fighting style and promised to 'kill or be killed' in the duel on March 12

Confrontation scheduled against his compatriot Alex Poatán, Bruno Blindado He didn't make much of a mystery about his strategy. In an interview with 'Combate', the native of Paraíba said that he will 'pull punches' with his opponent and ignored critics of his fighting style.

“For my part, I'm going to come out punching, as I always do in every fight. In every fight I hear: 'Ah, Armored is now going to have to take him to the ground because the guy is like this or that... Jordan wright It's going to kill Armored, so he has to put him down'. There's all this little talk that I've heard in other fights. In Russia it was the same thing: 'You can't trade with (Alexander) Shlemenko, because he's a specialist'. I do not care. I'm going to come out with the punch, as I always do, if the fight gets complicated at the top I'll throw it to the ground, if it's going to the ground I'll throw a punch. I’m going to come out with the punch, it’s kill or be killed”, said Blindado.

Criticized sometimes for his 'little' defensive style of fighting, the Brazilian athlete ignored the complaints and emphasized that he will not change the way he acts.

Hired by the UFC in 2021, Bruno had a meteoric rise in the organization with three victories in a row, all by knockout. The duel against Alex Poatán is scheduled for March 12th, in Las Vegas (USA). Former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg) of the 'M-1 Challenge' event, the Brazilian athlete has a record of 22 triumphs and six setbacks in professional MMA.
