Apparently, the rematch between aljamain sterling e Petr yan there will be a new date change. In a post made on his 'Twitter', the bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) declared that the confrontation, scheduled last week for the month of March, should be postponed until April.

“Apparently it won’t be until April now. The potato (Petr yan) can’t avoid me forever,” Sterling wrote.
The rivalry between aljamain sterling e Petr yan has been growing since the fateful duel between the two athletes, in March 2021. In UFC 259, the champion was superior in the duel when, in the fourth round, he applied an illegal knee to 'radio master', he was disqualified and lost his title. The Russian accused the American of faking the injury and since then, the two athletes have been exchanging provocations on social media.
Just over a month after the confrontation, Sterling had to undergo a surgical procedure on his neck and has not yet returned to the octagon. The duel was rescheduled for UFC 267, in October, however, a new injury to Aljamain caused the duel to be cancelled. Petr yan faced Cory Sandhagen for the interim belt in the category and won in a unanimous decision by the judges.
