The heavyweights Roy Nelson e Daniel Cormier can take part in the co-main fight of UFC 166, which has already made official the fight for the category belt between Junior Gypsy e Cain Velazquez. According to the “Yahoo Sports” website, the Ultimate organization plans to include the fight on the October 19th event card.
For the confrontation to happen, however, Nelson, who has a record of 19 wins and eight losses, must renew his agreement with Ultimate – which ended after his defeat to Stipe Miocic, at UFC 161, in June. The undefeated Cormier, who has twelve victories on his record, still has ties to the organization, as he was one of the many athletes who migrated from the now-defunct Strikeforce.
UFC 166 takes place on October 19th, at Toyota Center, in Houston (USA). In addition to the third meeting between Junior Gypsy e Cain Velazquez for the heavyweight title, three other fights have already been officially announced for the event: Nate Marquardt vs. Hector Lombard, Gilbert Melendez vs. Diego Sanchez e Tony Ferguson vs. Mike Rio.
