The stage where the Brazilian lost the Ultimate middleweight title Anderson Silva will receive the next belt defense from another super champion of the organization: Georges St Pierre. The MGM Grand Garden, in Las Vegas (USA), was made official as the venue for the duel between the Canadian and the North American John hendricks.
As a result, the last two Ultimate events of the year will take place at the venue. The confrontation between GSP and Hendricks is scheduled for November 16th, as the main fight of UFC 167. Edition 168, for which a rematch between Anderson Silva e Chris Weidman, also scheduled for MGM, will be held on December 28th.
With these two fights announced by the end of 2013, the MGM Grand Garden will become the sports complex to host the UFC on more occasions. Currently, the venue shares the position with Mandalay Bay, also in Las Vegas (USA), with 25 editions each.
