Jorge Masvidal provokes Colby Covington and reiterates his interest in facing him: 'Don't run away'

'Jesus das Ruas' suggests a fight and asks an ex-friend to accept it; the two fighters were once training partners on 'American Top Team'

Attentive to the movement in the UFC welterweight division (up to 77kg) and willing to resolve any issues with Colby covington, Jorge masvidal he acted again. On his official 'Twitter' account, 'Jesus das Ruas' reaffirmed his desire to face his former training partner and asked him not to run away from the fight.

“They're going to call you and I hope the fourth time is a charm, you f***ing coward. Do not run away, Colby covington,” Masvidal wrote.

Companions for years in the 'American Top Team', Colby and Masvidal were once best friends. After Covington left the team, however, the athletes began to exchange barbs via the press and social media. If the former interim welterweight champion tries to get back on track to winning ways, the same can be said of Jorge. The athlete is coming off two consecutive defeats to Usman, in a fight for the group's belt.

Defeated in the title fight in his last two fights, Masvidal is looking for a new opportunity to resume his path towards the world title. The North American has a record of 35 triumphs and 15 setbacks in professional MMA.

PUBLICITY:

Professional since 2012, Colby covington was already interim champion, but ran into Kamaru Usman on both occasions for the linear title. The North American now has a record of 16 positive results and three negative results in his career.
