Father of fighter Raulian Paiva dies in Amapá, victim of Covid-19

Athlete uses social network to confirm the death of José Moyses Frazão, aged 71

The fighter's father Raulian paivaUFC bantamweight (up to 61,2kg), José Moyses Frazão, died last Sunday (9), in Amapá, victim of Covid-19. At 71 years old, he had been hospitalized in the ICU of Santana Hospital since December 20th. The athlete's advisors used social media to confirm and regret the information.

“With great sadness in our hearts, I come to inform you that the father of Raulian paiva passed away this night, 09/01/2022. 'Seu Moyses' was a great warrior, he will always fill us with pride. My condolences to the family”, they published on the fighter’s official profile.

According to 'ge', Raulian had admitted an improvement in his father's health. The situation, however, ended up getting worse after the discovery of bacteria in the blood. José was intubated for around 20 days.

On December 26th, Paiva even made a post asking his followers for prayers for his father's recovery.
