Cejudo classifies the duel between Volkanovski and Ortega as the greatest fight in MMA history

Mixed martial arts often offer true 'wars' that go down in history as among the best fights fans have ever witnessed in the sport. However, in the 2021 season, the main fight of the UFC 266 caught the attention of Henry Cejudo.

On his podcast with 'The Schmo' on 'YouTube', the North American stated that the duel starring Alexander Volkanovsky e Brian ortega, won by the Australian in a unanimous decision by the judges, was not only the 'Fight of the Year', but also achieved the status of greatest of all time.

“For me, this isn't just the Fight of the Year. It's the biggest fight in the history of MMA. They showed striking, defenses and takedowns, avoiding submissions, attacks and counterattacks. In other words, it had everything,” said Cejudo.

Despite the chorus of 'Triple C', officially, the duel between Justin gaethje e Michael chandler ended up winning the 'Fight of the Year' award in the UFC. Retired since May 2020, Henry Cejudo is rehearsing a return to the organization's octagon and has already publicly declared his desire to test himself in the featherweight division (up to 65,7kg), led by Volkanovski himself.

The Australian, in turn, will have the trilogy against Max Holloway No. UFC 272 on March 5th as his next title defense. In fact, Alexander has already beaten the Hawaiian on two occasions, although both were evenly matched.
