UFC prospect fires at Poirier for his performance in the defeat to Do Bronx and says he can beat him

After arriving in Ultimate with the 'right foot' and a devastating knockout over the Brazilian Luigi Vendramini, light weight (up to 70,3kg.) Paddy Pimblett is already looking at the top of the division. In an interview appearing on the compatriot's podcast Michael Bisping, the Englishman analyzed the title dispute between Charles of the Bronx e Dustin poirier. He confesses that he was disappointed with the North American's performance and claims that he can beat him in a possible dispute.

“I bet on (Dustin) Poirier instead of (Charles of the Bronx) Oliveira. And after watching that fight, I thought, 'If Charles can do this to Dustin, so can I.' It's crazy how the math of MMA doesn't work out. When you watch the fights, you realize that in certain positions you can do the same thing,” said Pimblett.

Paddy, however, still needs to prove himself against other unranked athletes to consider a future chance against Poirier. Considered one of the biggest promises in Ultimate today, the Englishman has a record of 17 triumphs and three setbacks in his career.

Dustin, in turn, is already aiming to rebuild his path within the organization and is now negotiating a fight against Nate diaz. Michael chandler and a possible fourth fight against Conor McGregor they are also considered realistic options due to their timing. In his career, there are 28 positive results and six negative results.
